EXECUTIVE WORKING GROUP

Nick Colina is the Chief Operating Officer of Anco Iron & Construction Inc. where he oversees the company’s day-to-day operations. Founded in 1969, Anco Iron & Construction is a third-generation minority steel supplier that fabricates and installs structural steel and miscellaneous metals on projects throughout the Bay Area. 

 

Throughout Anco’s illustrious history, they have worked on some of the city’s most notable structures including the iconic and globally renown Casto Theater, San Francisco War Memorial, Candlestick Park, the Ferry Building, Chase Center, multiple projects for Caltrans, the Treasure Island Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant and the mega-infrastructure Biosolids Project in San Francsico’s Bayview District.

 

Anco Iron & Construction was established by Nick’s grandfather William and his brother Tony who left their hometown of Veracruz, Mexico, and moved to San Francisco in the 1950s, armed with construction skills and a dream.  In the 1990s, Nick’s father, Hector, joined the company. Today, Anco is owned by Hector and operated by Nick and his two sisters, Jenifer and Dani.

 

Nick is the recipient of the President’s Award of Achievement in 2022, is a board member of the San Francsico/Bay Area Latino Builders Alliance and is a Founder of BuildIT.
