Terri Mestas is Seattle’s Sound Transit Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of the delivery of their $100B+ system expansion program which is the largest transit expansion program in the United States. Prior to her role at Sound Transit, she led the $30B Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) capital improvement program and Los Angeles Community College District’s (LACCD) $15B facilities capital projects. As an ally for all small businesses, she has spearheaded the robust inclusion of Historically Underutilized Businesses and workforce development programs including LGBTQ consultants, contractors, material suppliers, and tradespeople in all design/construction/maintenance programs under her leadership.
Terri has over 30 years of experience leading large, complex infrastructure programs for space exploration, military installations, national and international antiterrorism physical security, and innovative project delivery for the aviation and transit industries.
