We are exceptionally proud to announce that Vigor Lam will serve as Co-Chair of our Founders Day 2026 Conference, Gala Dinner and Awards Program on Thursday, June 4, 2026. The theme of this year’s Founders Day is “Thrive” where we will be bringing LGBT/Allied leaders from throughout the world to celebrate our AEC industry, its leaders and the significant achievements of the past year.
Vigor Lam works in the US West project management and construction management (PMCM) division for Jacobs, as a project manager mainly in higher education and healthcare projects, with clients including Cedars Sinai Health Systems, University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and City College of San Francisco. His experience in the AEC industry encompasses comprehensive planning and project initiation to building occupation and project closeout.
He is a Ph.D. Candidate in Higher Education Leadership at Colorado State University, where his research focuses how campus spaces can promote student success and belonging. He is a former student affairs practitioner with experience in various departments including campus life, academic affairs, and residential life across various campuses. He has published journal articles and book chapters on college student belonging. His research interests include race, student success, and student belonging.
In addition to his role as a Founder of BuildIT, Vigor has served on various boards including the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) and CMAA Northern California. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California and The Ohio State University. He was awarded the Emerging Professional of the Year (2022) and CMIT of the Year (2019) by CMAA Northern California and Advocate Award (2023) from ACPA – College Student Educators International.
